Our focus for is delivering greater visual and sound fidelity, enriching the game with new vehicles and new ways to experience tank combat, as well as new fun-fueled events. Slated to hit production servers in March, it reimagines the game with a new graphics engine and over 25 ultra-realistic maps. This impressive revamp has been over four years in the making. We wanted to give the game a modern look, while also ensuring you can enjoy it on your rig. Much like we all do in a battle, we needed to plan a few steps ahead. In our case, it called for a solution that would support the latest technological advancements while having enough capacity to let us advance graphics in tandem with it. Also, we needed a technology tailored to World of Tanks. Hardly any graphics engine both now and then would fit these three requirements. So we brought client development in-house, created something specifically for World of Tanks, and named it for what it was:
Matchmaking Changes in Update 8.11
Top Tier all the time? It starts with the player creating a platoon and stay alone in the platoon when pressing battle. His experience with this is that he got placed as either Top Tier or same Tier battles all the time. Other players already started testing based on his reports and the majority reported back with the same experience, either placed as Top Tier or same Tier battles all the time. Twitch Streamer skill4ltu was doing this during his stream last night and he got the same results:
From the pervading sense of vulnerability surrounding Ebola to the visibility into acts of crime or misconduct that ignited critical conversations about race, gender, and violence, various senses of exposure were out in the open this year.
No more than 3 SPGs per team If you joined us in the Sandbox, you already know the limit of no more than 3 arty per side balances combat interplay between SPGs and other vehicles. Both stats and feedback show that it injects combat with extra fun and variety, and decreases camping, encouraging more active gameplay. Fewer map dupes The improved matchmaker reduces the number of map dupes with a new logic. It analyzes maps that tankers from the two newly created teams played over the last 10 battles.
Then, it places them on a map none of them have seen in the last few sessions. This new map rotation logic is relevant for maps used in the Standard mode Random Battles. Assault and Encounter Battles are only played across a limited number of maps. So, if you have them flagged, maps will repeat more often. If it sees that this will have you waiting for quite a while, it will match you into a battle with a suitable tier split.
It is an opportunity for us to reflect on the language and ideas that represented each year. So, take a stroll down memory lane to remember all of our past Word of the Year selections. Change It wasn"t trendy , funny, nor was it coined on Twitter , but we thought change told a real story about how our users defined Unlike in , change was no longer a campaign slogan. But, the term still held a lot of weight. Here"s an excerpt from our Word of the Year announcement in
For example, if there is inflation, a modern rating of means less than a historical rating of , while the reverse is true if there is deflation.
Discuss Updated We spoke at length about the improved matchmaker in the Common Test announcement. How It Works The improved matchmaker builds two teams with several key criteria in mind. Its goal is to get you in a battle quick and make sure the two teams it assembles are: Comparable in their aggregate combat parameters Diverse in vehicle types and versatile enough to provide an engaging gaming experience Balanced in a way that gives both sides a chance at victory To do so the system analyzes vehicles in the queue and chooses one out of a set of templates; server-side algorithms with team makeups that define the tier spread and vehicle distribution at the top, middle and bottom of the list.
The variant you land depends on the queue composition, but whichever you get, there will be no battles where vehicles in the middle are outnumbered by those at the top. No fewer vehicles in the middle than at the top No fewer vehicles at the bottom than in the middle This way, the matchmaker ensures that regardless of your position on the list, there are always enough players in the same position on your team to have a real chance in battle.
In this case, you can get a two-level or single-level battle. However, if it sees that this will have you waiting for quite a while, it will match you into a battle with a suitable tier split. Creating a Battle Step 1. Defining the battle tier spread and game mode. First, the matchmaker defines the number of tankers and Platoons suitable for each battle tier and game mode. It analyzes the modes each player flagged for a battle session, vehicles they chose for a battle, their tier and whether they follow regular or special matchmaking rules.
In accountancy, depreciation refers to two aspects of the same concept: Businesses depreciate long-term assets for both tax and accounting purposes. The former affects the balance sheet of a business or entity, and the latter affects the net income that they report.
The heavy-on-performance reflection generation process was replaced with the Screen Space Reflection algorithm, significantly lowering the load on the graphics card.
With potential clip damage and only 11 seconds required to unload it, pairing the sufficient penetration of , the tank could simply decimate any tier 7 or 8 tank, and shave off over half the health of tier 9 and some tier 10 tanks. This tank was pushed back to tier 8 with the patch 7. The autoloading 76 mm T91E5 gun it used to have? With 10 rounds, potential damage and 18 seconds to unload?
The most common strategy with the autoloader was to simply wait for flanking opportunities, engaging sole tanks or tanks you know you could defeat without taking much damage. The speed of the M41 allowed the tank to zoom around tanks while unloading the massive clip, and that was the most common playstyle players used. The gun, being single-shot, had better gun handling characteristics, but the ability to clip tier 7 and 8 tanks with the autoloader made the autoloader simply a better choice for the tank.
Unfortunately, after the 9. While the tank statistics and mobility were sort of buffed, the autoloader was significantly nerfed.

And so, we named tergiversate the Word of the Year.
An example may help clarify. Suppose Player A has a rating of , and plays in a five-round tournament. He or she loses to a player rated , draws with a player rated , defeats a player rated , defeats a player rated , and loses to a player rated The expected score, calculated according to the formula above, was 0. Note that while two wins, two losses, and one draw may seem like a par score, it is worse than expected for Player A because his or her opponents were lower rated on average.
Therefore, Player A is slightly penalized. New players are assigned provisional ratings, which are adjusted more drastically than established ratings. The principles used in these rating systems can be used for rating other competitions—for instance, international football matches. See Go rating with Elo for more. Mathematical issues[ edit ] There are three main mathematical concerns relating to the original work of Elo, namely the correct curve, the correct K-factor, and the provisional period crude calculations.
What"s the reasoning for three tier spread in matchmaking ?
These values are found on the World of Tanks wiki and hopefully they are up to date…but its not that important to base my view on. Under my proposal the matchmaking weight values would be changed along with the method of assigning specific tanks their values. Each tier would have a range at where the matchmaking weight values will be at and instead of tanks being weighted based on their class they would be weighted based on how well they are balanced against their peers.
The national debate can arguably be summarized by the question:
Reply on December 14, Cheats players and constant Hacks plus Fake names are everywhere making your team worthless due to the amount of fake names Cheaters that abound this game. Please tell me how the game is before I play it. Nothing against those Russians, but in this game they have a ridiculously unfair advantage of being able to buy equipments for half the price that Europeans or Americans have to pay.
This is probably to push non-Russians into buying more and more using the currency of their country which is more valuable to Tanki than RussianRoubles to catch-up with the Russian majority. Again, as mentioned by loads of others, nothing against those Russians, but they sure love cheating. The game is full of cheats and the game does nothing about it, apart from the usual BS platitudes and lies from the forum admins.
He is just saying that tanki is a good game when no Russians are around. Its a bad game when they are since most of them just hack or spend a ridiculous amount of money. I recommend you not to play it. There are much better games out there where skill matters and not money.

Vehicle loadout packages, equipment, consumables Nationalities Crews Player skill levels When creating a battle, the matchmaker first looks to place eligible large Platoons players , followed by artillery and then light tanks with scout matchmaking. After this criterion is met, other players are selected to fill the remaining positions, keeping the team"s weight balanced as closely as possible.
If the matchmaker struggles to meet the requirements for an eligible match, it eases up on the rules to avoid players spending too much time in the queue. However, the matchmaker never breaks the minimum balance requirements. If the matchmaker still can"t find a good battle after about five minutes, players get kicked back to the Garage.
The autoloader lost 4 of its shells.
Whether vehicles are stock or fully researched, how they are equipped, nor crew skill is taken into account by the match-maker. Vehicle Tier Vehicle tier is not taken into consideration when balancing teams. This is a common misconception among players. For example, under the current rules a tier 8 medium can be matched against a tier 7 heavy tank.
The only relevance of vehicle tier is to determine the battle tier. However, the top tanks of each team have the same vehicle tier due to the current balancing rules. The vehicle tier should be taken into consideration as it reflects a preordained operating range of a vehicle also known as classification. The range of each tier gradually increases with technology and tiers can overlap. If you are in a platoon, the entire platoon is placed into battles according to the platoon member in the vehicle with the highest battle tier.
This can produce unwanted results in particular for new players at the lower tiers. For example, a tier 4 scout can enter battles up to tier 7, whereas a tier 4 medium tank on its own can only join battles up to tier 6.
