Often they like to tell stories about things that have happened to them. There does not have to be any point to the story fun, knowledge, a moral, etc. Realists are concerned with the behavior and activities of other people. They also like to be up on the trends and fashions — whatever is new on the world scene. This makes them rather conventional people, who conform to social norms and institutions. Realists are also often news-hounds. The complement of Realism is Cynicism. Whereas Cynics put a stop to what is happening, Realists are unable to put a stop to anything. Rather, they are carried along with the situation.

Firstly, to save you time: OK, starting with the more factual stuff: I was born in England but have lived in Australia for about 15 years, Asia for 5 years, and have visited about 20 countries. Right now I"m in SE Asia and should be able to stay here at least until , maybe longer. However I"d prefer to live in Australia. I"m very honest, direct, loyal and sincere. I"m both idealistic and practical, which seems to give me an unusual outlook on life. I try to make myself see the truth, even if it"s difficult to face. Of course I"m far from perfect, I know that. But I do think I"m free of the traits that cause the most trouble and pain in relationships. I like good coffee and tea, red wine and English bitter beer, but I only drink a little, and not often. I try to look after my body and have exercised throughout my life to try to stay slim and fit.

It wasn"t until the 15th century that Koreans made Hangul to write with, but it wasn"t widely used at that time due to years and years of using Chinese characters.

Personally, I think this is one of the stupidest analogies mankind ever came up with, so, no, I don"t think I see eye to eye with anyone on that principle I revisit this later They almost get argumentative about it - trying to convince me that everything would be perfect if I just never allowed anything to bother me and that it"s really all about attitude - back to glass half full.
These are the people who suppress their feelings and put on a happy face.
October 22, Key Difference — Pessimist vs Realist Although there are certain similarities, there is a key difference between a pessimist and a realist. What do you think if there is a glass half filled with water placed on a table in front of you? Is it half full or half empty? This is the classic question that is used to arrive at the attitude of a person and see if he is a pessimist or an optimist.
But there is the third kind also who is known as the realist.
You are too smart and motivated for that.
Wanting to uncover meaning and significance in the world, and trying to understand what they believe is the real nature of life and relationships, Idealist thought and speech tends to be interpretive, which means they frequently comment how one thing is really something else. Not tied to observable objects like the SP"s and SJ"s, and not disciplined by the deductive logic of the NT"s, NF"s spontaneously transform one thing into another, erasing distinctions, combining categories, and joining opposites.
Indeed, so extraordinary is her or her goal that even the NF him or herself cannot talk about it in a straight forward fashion. If defies his or her description. Carl Rogers, one of the more able exponets of the NF Idealist way presents an excellent illustration of the tortuous and convoluted rhetoric seemingly required: Becoming a Person means the individual moves towards being.
He moves away from being what he is not, from being a facade. He is not trying to be less than he is, with the attendant feelings of guilt or self-depreciation. He is increasingly listening to the deepest recesses of the psychological and emotional being, and finds himself increasingly willing to be, with greater accuracy and depth, that self which he most truly is. Boston; Houghton Mifflin, , p. To the NF, their motivation in life is to pursue the self-reflective end which defies itself:
The realist behind the idealist Constitution
Others find them to be very congenial and inspiring - especially as they are always willing to see the best in the other person. Their humour, their energy and their optimism attract other people. Engaged Idealists are very good at communicating and are good at convincing and firing on others.
This is especially helpful for those who go back and forth between wanting to break up with their significant other and staying with them.

What do you think about true love? Often, the true love people talk about is mere passion or lust. Love is more like an affection for another human being that matures over the years like good wine. It is needed to keep two people together long enough for reproduction while allowing them to tolerate each other well into their elderly years. True love is real and lasts forever! Love is one of the ultimate goals in life!
It is the pinnacle of the human experience.

According to scientific realism, an ideal scientific theory has the following features:
SHARE This is the last of a three-part series about the life and diplomatic theories of Hitoshi Ashida, who was president and editor-in-chief of The Japan Times from to , and went on to become prime minister in The biggest mystery surrounding late Prime Minister Hitoshi Ashida was his postwar call for Japan to re-militarize despite the constitutional limits imposed by war-renouncing Article 9. Ashida, known as a staunch anti-military liberal before and during World War II, chaired in a member special Diet subcommittee that modified and eventually approved the draft of the pacifist Constitution submitted by the Supreme Commander Allied Powers, or SCAP.
Ashida also headed a public organization tasked with enlightening people about what the new democratic, pacifist charter would mean for the people and the country. But in the early days of the Cold War, Ashida emerged as a leading polemicist after he began calling for the re-militarization of Japan. This distanced Ashida from the rising militarism in Japan during that period, experts say. But unknown to many, the Cold War had already started by that time.
In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained. The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized. Whether Ashida actually put the phrase into Article 9 remains a mystery. Kades said he approved the idea, knowing it would eventually allow Japan to maintain a military force for self-defense in spite of Article 9.
Abe, as did past governments, rejected the proposal. Instead, they opted to leave the meaning of Article 9, the constitutionality of the SDF and the questions of whether and how Japan should participate in a U. He thus attached great importance to the role played by the League of Nations before the war, and that of the United Nations afterward, Yajima pointed out.

Still, over the course of your dating life, you will probably either be dumped or do the dumping at some point. When you are put into the position of breaking up with someone, however, the situation can get awkward real fast. No breakup happens overnight and it usually stems from repressed feelings or realizations that a relationship just isn"t working. Before you make the decision to part ways, there are several questions you should ask yourself that will make the breakup as smooth as possible.
There may be a few tears and unbearable silences, but with time and wine, you will both survive. Why do I want to break up with this person?
I do partly agree with that guy over there points to the austere Realist whose hands are folded neatly in lap and back is ramrod straight , that death is simply a nothingness.
Main features[ edit ] Scientific realism involves the two basic positions. First, it is a set of claims about the features of an ideal scientific theory; an ideal theory is the sort of theory science aims to produce. Second, it is the commitment that science will eventually produce theories very much like an ideal theory and that science has done pretty well thus far in some domains.
It is important to note that one might be a scientific realist regarding some sciences while not being a realist regarding others. According to scientific realism, an ideal scientific theory has the following features: The claims the theory makes are either true or false, depending on whether the entities talked about by the theory exist and are correctly described by the theory. This is the semantic commitment of scientific realism.
The entities described by the scientific theory exist objectively and mind-independently. This is the metaphysical commitment of scientific realism. There are reasons to believe some significant portion of what the theory says. This is the epistemological commitment. Combining the first and the second claim entails that an ideal scientific theory says definite things about genuinely existing entities.
The third claim says that we have reasons to believe that many scientific claims about these entities are true.
